Hi All, by now everyone should be back to work, if you’re not please call the office. We have contractors calling all the time for more help.
If you have friends or family members that want to get into our trades, now is a good time and we can help them with initiation. The International Union approved a request from President Jackson for reductions or waivers of initiation fees.
If you hear about the newsletter coming out and you’re not receiving it, call in and make sure we have the correct contact information. The same thing goes for the telephone “phone tree” we send out on a regular basis for reminders on meetings and events.
Some upcoming events and dates that may apply to you are, August 27th the San Francisco Retiree lunch, September 3rd is the Sacramento Retiree lunch, and September 24th is the Oakland Retiree lunch. This year’s Local #3 picnic is at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo. The flyer for the picnic should go out soon as well as invitations to the retirement lunches. Please respond as soon as you receive them; this makes it easier to schedule the events and ensure your reservation.
In closing I hope everyone is having a great summer. Remember to stay hydrated, check your safety equipment and tools, and above all be safe.
